After calibration, the NEC EA244UHD shows a color gamut far in excess of Adobe RGB in the red and magenta range as well as greater gamut in the green and blue range.
A wide color gamuts matters: digital cameras shot using raw format offer gamuts far exceeding AdobeRGB. Also, modern inkjet printers can reproduce an extended range of red and magenta tones well beyond the AdobeRGB gamut. Thus, editing with a full gamut is important to avoiding artificial clipping of an image.
